Aubrey Peeples

Aubrey Peeples (born Aubrey Peeples) is an American singer-actress. The most notable recognition was given to her in her character Layla Grant in the drama series Nashville (2012) and Claudia Shepard in Sharknado (2013). The actress also played the main part of Jerrica Jem Benton on the film Jem and the Holograms (2015). Aubrey Peeples was raised in Lake Mary, Florida, by her mother and father Wendy Ashley and Wendy Ashley. There is a younger sister Ally. When she was growing up, Aubrey was a part of the Orlando Repertory Theatre for ten years. Aubrey was the valedictory of their 2012 class. Harvard University accepted her but admitted her twice, the second time to accept her role in Nashville. Peeples appeared in Drop Dead Diva (2009) Burn Notice (2007) Austin & Ally (2011) Grey's Anatomy (2005) and had a recurring role in Necessary Roughness (1991). She was in the filmed television shows Ace Ventura Jr.: Pet Detective (2009) and The Good Mother. In the second season, she was cast as Layla Grant in the Nashville drama. Peeples talked about her bipolar disorder during an interview in 2019 with NKD Magazine. Indiewire listed Peeples among the best actors aged under twenty years young in September 2014.
